Meet Dustin-Special Olympics

When people with intellectual disabilities are given the chance, they can surpass expectations and stereotypes.  Bank of America was intent on proving it to an audience of millions with the help of ESPN.  

 

Digitas worked with both brands to give a former Special Olympics athlete the opportunity to sit at the anchor desk and be the first ever analyst with intellectual disabilities at the 2015 Special Olympics World Games.

To complement Dustin’s on-air role, we drove awareness to Bank of America’s commitment to Special Olympics in supporting creative. Dustin’s story was featured with high visibility ad placements across display, social and search using the combined network effect of ESPN, MLB and Bank of America platform channels.  Engagement was through the roof!
