Friends Again
Pay them back. Be friends again.
Unpaid debt is awkward and our research showed more than half of Americans (53%) have ended a relationship over a personal debt. This inspired us to end the tension by creating “Friends Again,” a national campaign encouraging people to do what’s right and pay back their friends.
As part of the “Friends Again” campaign, we created “Pay Back a Friend Day,” a national holiday where friends could reconnect and settle debts. We unleashed stories on how resolving debt restores friendships with original content, and built integrations on Good Morning America and Jimmy Kimmel Live. We created momentum using popular radio DJs, and tapped celebrities / social media influencers to share their “pay back” stories and encourage others to do the same.
